On June 12th and 13th, 2010, grandmother
groups across Canada will be taking a walk to show their support for the
courageous and resilient grandmothers of Africa who are caring for children
orphaned by AIDS, and changing the course of the pandemic in their communities.
The walk is a
- show
of solidarity
- a
way of raising awareness in our communities, and
- a
strong pledge to the African grandmothers that we will raise as much money
as we possibly can with every footstep across Canada
Join us and help us to reach our goal so that
the grandmoters in Africa can reach theirs- a
healthy, happy and hopeful future for their grandchildren.
How to
Donate:
It's easy. All you have to do is find
the name of the team member you would like to support and click on their name. You can then donate to their page. All
of the proceeds go directly to the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the
Stephen Lewis Foundation.
